    Hi gang,

Long time lurker and just hooked up to the forum. Nice to meet you all!

I was looking for some value and "how many known" help on a national I just purchased. It's a $5 1929 "The Drovers National Bank of Chicago" which I believe is in F15 condition. Serial # D000114A.

    Thanks in advance!

The bank was chartered in December 1902 as the Drovers Deposit NB of Chicago. It assumed this second title on May 22, 1913. Your note is one of eight 1929 Type 1 $5 notes in the Track & Price census and is listed as a grade 12. The value is roughly $50 to $75.

Nationals are cool !! But for some reason S/N are not that high of a
Premium, I mean low ones, Had a few in double digits didnt bring
Much more cash was very suprised!!

Well it's because there are so many banks that each (most) didnt get that high in S/N's
And they are usually collected by bank.

Jamesmorgan: Thanks for catching that! I just revised.

Brian339: I'm hopeful it's ok to solicate values of nationals if one has no idea regardless of their user name or feedbacks. Ouch. An inauspicious beginning!

Anyway, thanks very much for your help.
