I found this one this morning in an eBay roll. It's in real bad shape but there is some serious doubling on the date.

I've noticed that the "L" on the liberty is very close to the edge, is this normal? Is it usually that close to the edge? Sorry for not being so informed as I'm Canadian and my collections involve more Canadian coins and Banknotes. thanks.

As the dies wear sometimes the L in "Liberty" will appear closer or even connected to the rim. This is normal and common. As for the doubling shown it appears to be Mechanical doubling and not a doubled die.

Yea, I was pretty sure it was MD since it is only on the date.

    Still plan on keeping it.
