I bought this coin over 25 years ago. Yup, it was in that unopened box with the other coins that I’ve posted lately. She a beauty, an 1883-CC Morgan Silver Dollar. Only 1,204,000 minted and a lot less surviving today. This lady was on vacation and never worked for a living. Lol. I bought her as a BU, never slabbed coin for a whopping $69.00. I still have the original flip she came in with that on there. She’s full of luster and beaming to go. Not sure what grade she would make but I would think a MS-63 at the least. No real distractions on her. Below STATES on the reverse looks like it could be the remains of a die clash. Let me know your thoughts.
This one sold for $264 on 5/24/22 https://coins.ha.com/itm/morgan-dol...-21658.s?ic4=ListView-ShortDescription-071515 Can you take some photos with less light? Can't really tell what the surfaces look like.
Much better, I wouldn't give it a grade better than 63. 63 has been auctioning at $3 to 300 as of late.
My thoughts are that you may not be a numismatist, but just a collector if you bought a coin and never opened the package for 25 years. Geeze.
A divorce that was forced onto me, moving across the country, taking care of my mother, overworked are just a few of the things in life that took over the obvious. Plain and simple, life got in the way. Not any more.
