They are the old paper notes from 1960-90 era - pre poly. You would not find them in circulation today. https://www.coinsandaustralia.com/banknotes-prices-value-decimal.php
I got a whole stack of new bank notes, many from Kenya, a few months ago. Never got around to scanning them, and now I can not find them! Somewhere in this room, probably in a book? I do want to upload the pix on here, as they are very colorful. I know I am getting older and more forgetful, but this is ridiculous...
What’s ridiculous is an elderly couple pasted away a few years ago. The only child came in with their spouse to clean out the house. It was so much they were overwhelmed so they boxed up most of it and donated it to make it go away. They got rid of books, a lot of them and then in the process of boxing more books up one was dropped in the floor. What fell out? Paper money. So then they started opening up the books to look for money. In all they found over $50,000 and all they could think about was how much they gave away. Check your books, freezer, under the mattress, chair and sofa cushions. I collect and sell antiques and people used to hide money under the paper backing on framed prints. Check everywhere for your misplaced notes.
I lost a pair of socks one morning while I was putting them on. I thought of something I needed to do before I left for work and when I got back to putting my boots on, I couldn't find the socks. I looked all over retracing every step and couldn't find them, I convinced myself that I had dreamed getting them out of the drawer. I got another pair out, put my boots on, and left for work. While getting in the truck, I saw my reflection in the door glass; the first pair of socks were across my shoulder.
That’s too funny. I’m rolling while laughing but glad you spotted them before going into your workplace. You’d never hear the end of that one.
Guess I'm not the only who spaces things out. I just searched around in the clutter a bit and found a stack of Cambodian bank notes, all in well used condition. No idea where they came from, not shown in my spreadsheet records.
At least I will be able to replace this sorry example that came in a big bulk lot of world notes Slight difference in signatures. This one is Johnstone - Stone, and the new one Knight-Wheeler. [/QUOTE]
I picked up 5 NZ Millennium notes at auction just over face. Condition EF and VF Commemorative banknotes are occasionally printed and only 1,510,000 were issued. The polymer $10 note was issued in 2000 to mark the beginning of the new millennium. This note is very different from the standard fifth-series $10 note and does not feature a portrait. Instead it depicts a Maori waka (canoe) sailing towards the sun on the obverse side, with the words 'The dawn of a new era lights the way for New Zealand's perpetual voyage of innovation and discovery' within the clouds. On the reverse side, popular New Zealand outdoor activities are represented - surfing, skiing, beach-going, sky-diving and kayaking. The phrase 'Celebrating New Zealand's free spirit & quest for adventure in the new millennium' curves between the images. This note was issued for general circulation but its collectable characteristics mean it is not much seen. The CI 00 was the last prefix and demands a slight premium.
NZ $20 polymer Issue 6 - 1999-2003 Type IV Green Back AH 99654831 Picked up from circulation this afternoon. Currently I have the 2004-08 Bollard, and 2013 Wheeler $20 polymer. Just needed the Brash, however I still need the Brash Blue back. A few creases but not in bad shape for c 20 years of circulation. Front Queen Elizabeth II and Parliament buildings (the Beehive and Parliament House). The Queen is wearing the Sovereign's Badge of the Queen's Service Order, a New Zealand honour. The tukutuku design behind her is Poutama (the stairs to heaven) Reverse side is the kārearea (native falcon), the Marlborough rock daisy, the red tussock and Mt Tapuae-o-Uenuku in the Kaikōura ranges of the South Island.
Very interesting, thanks Clay. I didn't realise the P13b - 100 Riels was an unissued note. Serial 476442 In total I found I have 11 Cambodian notes including a 100 Riels from 2014 (later year than your list covers).
This a a very rare Rhode Island note. Durand has only a description and no images for this R-7. 1-5 known
