Does this coin look real??

The seller says he would sell both the vdb-s and the 1909-s for a grand. The vdb s looks to good??

A far cry from being able to verify it with those pictures, but I see nothing to tell me it is fake. Try looking at this thread http://www.cointalk.com/t78043/. However, that coin looks like it has been cleaned to me. I would pass on his deal. You should be able to pick up a VF certified coin for about that price (less the 1909-S).

 

Are you willing to fork over $1000 on the chance that the coins are:
a. real, and
b. not cleaned

For coins like that I want them slabbed.

The S VDB looks good to me. The price looks good. Cleaning might be a problem. The price seems reasonable though.

 

Yeah why not, I mean it is only the most desirable penny in the last 100 years?
