Good evening everybody I have a few questions about the 1984 Lincoln cent. It is off center and it looks like two rims to the left of Liberty. I've never seen an off center like that or if I did I completely missed it. Is the word trust grease filled? The word Liberty has horizontal marks on top of a few of the letters. I don't remember where I read that, either variety Vista or wexler's that it's a form of doubling? I'm sure I'll be corrected. The date, the four looks like the point that faces the eight is sharper than the other 1984's I posted for comparison. Also there's more space in the middle of the four. The point of the four is also closer to the 8. And I'm thinking machine doubling on the date.... Reverse, die crack last opening right side column? Die crack second column from the left bottom. Running North to Southeast? If there is anything else on the reverse I love to hear the feedback. It's time to give these eyes a rest. Thank you all
That deformation ring around the perimeter says maybe a push doubling. It is all a sign of die deterioration.
So there are all kinds of different looking die deterioration is that because as the die goes through different deterioration stages they were all be different?
