1981 p DDO/DDR spitting eagle quarter... I found this quarter today and it looks to me that it's a DDO I can't find much on DDR but it looks like a spitting eagle to me.....does anyone agree with me on this quarter
I tried, I really did, but I don't see anything out of the ordinary. I'm just one Night Owl up at 3 am here in the NE of the US though. .
you should spend *a lot* of time in lighting, taking a photo that is not too close and slightly out of focus, cropping and rotation. We don't have the coin in hand ... just a fuzzy, dark, out of focus image to work with. Don't forget to reference a website you've checked it against. This is what a 'spitting eagle' should looks like. At least that's what I bought it as. Someone correct me if I'm wrong.
Better photos are needed for the spitting eagle. As for the DDO/DDR. It is all mushy details from worn out dies.
A Spitting eagle is just minor die clash that eBay sellers have given a catchy name to, so new collectors might think they're special and will pay a premium I don't see anything in your pics that say anything other than circulation contact marks. Pics aren't good enough to comment on the DDO

Just a well worn quarter. Not a DD and not a spitting Eagle. On the quarter a spitting eagle is from a die clash and your quarter shows no signs of that.
