Beautiful devices. Strong strike. Gotta be the one to ask though. Are those whizz marks from a harsh cleaning? There are a whole lot of them.

I love the die polish lines. I'm betting it's probably very flashy with semi-PL surfaces. Unfortunately, it looks to have a few more hits than the last Nickel you posted. I would guess it could go MS-65 with a possible shot at a ★ if the fields are reflective enough to warrant it.

Late die state... die been lapped a few times. Remember war years...nothing wasted...

MS 66. As others have noted, die polish lines. They only show in the fields; not the devices.

Looks like someone grabbed a Brillo pad to clean the dies. Too bad, but still nice looking coins.

Those lines are on the die or they’d have gone across the face. That’s how you tell they’re not whizz marks.

physics-fan3.14 You got any more of them.... prooflikes?

Classic look. Love the die polish lines. The PL on these 40's era San Fran coins is really hard to capture sometimes. Here are a couple of mine, both graded 66PL:

I would probably put this one in at about a 65.
