The reverse of this Denarius depicts the Erymanthian boar, whom Heracles (Hercules) captured as part of the fourth labour assigned to him by King Eurystheus. Hercules chased the boar into thick snow and carried it back to Eurystheus, who was so frightened that he hid in a half-buried storage pithos, begging Hercules to get rid of the beast.

Obverse: Head of Hercules right, wearing Nemean lion's skin

Reverse: Erymanthian boar right; in exergue, M·VOLTEI·M·F.

Nice coin! Your boar is a spear or two one on Dianna's coin.
