Guys if u had 215 bucks to purchase the coins are coin of your choice what would it be, would my best investment be a gold piece are maybe a pcgs ms-66 morgan dollar are what, thanks for your time.
I'd try to find someone to sell me $20 face value of 90% silver circulated Walkers. or some other form of 90% junk silver that I liked But if you like Morgan Dollars go for it... and it's usually a good idea to buy the best coin you can afford.
Coins are generally not a good investment. You could go to the US Mint website and spend the $215 on the new BSA commemoratives. You should be able to flip them for a profit in the not so distant future. All speculation though. TC
Bsa Commemoratives Cool, bought 4 proofs for $164.75 with shipping, can u tell me if ncgs will grade them for a cheaper price than pcgs. Thanks again.
If you are looking for a good investment, then look anywhere else than coins. Sure you can make money....sometimes, but coins are not a good investment when you get right down to it. Speedy
Us'ns little guys don't get the special treatment that the big boys get submitting coins to TPG's. Gonna cost you too much to submit and then try to turn it around into a profit. My feeling? Hold 'em for a few weeks and wait till the dust settles. See if these issues sell out at the mint. Then try and sell 'em on the "bay". You may make a few bucks but you ain't gonna get rich. You could have a lot of fun though... I'm waitin' to see if I'm gonna have any fun......
Bsa Commemoratives Thanks for the input, i see were a ebayer sold his proof bsa dollar for $119.00 it hadd a grade from pcgs of ms-70, i probably will not have mine graded, 350,000 were minted, i think i will just hold on to them and see if the price will go up, then sale them on the bay.
Just so you know - it just isn't that easy to get a 70 grade from any of the good grading companies. Look at the prices for the 68's and 69's and tell me what they are going for. Then take what you paid for the coins, add in how much you are going to pay for the grading service, and shipping back and forth....then make sure you add in the fee's that will be collected from Ebay and Paypal, and see how much in the hole you will be. Speedy
Bsa Commemorative Yes i agree grading gets really expensive i am just going to keep a eye on what the raw proofs are selling for on the bay, if i can make a descent profit than i will list them, there is nothing wrong with holding on to a nice coin either, thanks for all the input guys.
One day as I was driving down the road coming from a coin shop, I drove by a bank. Instantly, an idea came. I wonder if they have any coins I may want. I went inside with a smile of course and asked the teller if she had any half dollar coins. She said yes and pulled out a tray of 180 Kennedy half dollars all 1965 – 1969. She told me an elderly gentleman came in 2 hours earlier and cashed them in. Showing very little emotion I said I will take them. I gave her $90 and walked out with 180 silver Kennedy halves at face value. There melt down worth was $270 at the time. Score! I’m sure all of you have a bank account. Just ask your favorite teller every time you go in if he/she has any halves to get rid of. They may let you look through them, they may not. If you have a good rapport with the bank always leave your business card and tell them to call you if any more come up. A dealer will probably give $1.50 for 1965-1969 kennedy halves
