Here is another Franklin for you to guess the grade on the slab, and give your own opinion if you want. Please vote in the poll. Some slightly different looks at the coin.
Those early morning photos just weren't a very good representation of the coin. I think that these are better.
The bell lines look just a tad washed out, but it's a lovely coin. Technically I don't think it could gem for the nicks in and around the hair curls but it's a for sure MS65 for the market in these old peepers.
This section is the most important for full. Even is the rest is a little washed out they'll get full if these lines go through without a break...
Thank you, those light pastels were definitely what got my attention. This year and date usually produced very dark and dull looking toning.
I didn’t realize FBL was an option and multiple votes were allowed. Looks 65FBL to me. Reed marks across Franklins face should hold it back from 66. Otherwise a very very nice coin.
MS 64 ....nice look but maybe a few too many hits and reed marks to be a gem. And I think it just misses FBL (although it's a close call).
I am gonna leave this one up for another night. Even though I want to post the reveal. LOL There are quite a few GTG threads going right now. You all have a great weekend.
65 FBL (PCGS only grades the lower set of bell lines). Nice colors for a '53-D which is a tough coin to find with nice toning.
