You can buy them on the secondary market... 2009 Proof AGB from Apmex, MCM, Golden Eagle... funny how the list just goes on and on.
What racket? You gotta pay to play... Why start a thread like this if you're not seriously going to buy the coin you're bemoaning sold out from the Mint on the supposed day you were going to buy it? The Mint's prices were not so far off from the other secondary dealers linked to above. The prices have been competitive with Apmex... the others, at least you know you going to get a coin in the grade you want to buy the coin in. And if you wanted OGP, then buy an empty box on eBay and crack the graded coin out and stick it in the Mint packaging.
With shipping from Apmex the price is negligible to what it was selling for from the Mint... been that way for some time. You should be shopping this around and be appraised of this sort of thing if you are serious about buying. Stop complaining, get to buying one already if you are serious.
Eh? Messenger... I guess that'd be me posting the informational links to combat the case of the whining going on in this thread...
Super low? I think the 2008 Proof 1 oz. has the 2009 Proof 1 oz. beat by far less! AGB Mintages 2009 Proof 1 oz are in the 50k territory compared to 2008 Proof 1 oz. in the 20k territory.
