1958 D REVERSE 1 IN LIKE 1 in IHC L@@K

    this is one i have had for yrs and have talked to several dealers at the FUN show about this coin!... mostly never saw one or have only seen one like it i was told this is * THE R PENNY* Looks like the digit (1) from IHC
    cool coin lettering fat bold doubling

    That is a cool coin. I have not seen one like that before. I am interested to here what othere say about it

    I have one as well and I too would be interested in seeing what is said about it. Mine has a double eye lid and the B in Liberty has a copper deposit in it.

    Well when I get home I will check mine out as well, but I really doubt I will end up having a cent with a 1 like the one you's got! nice find!

    Looks just like yours except yours looks alittle more worn, but check the eye lid and the B in yours too, could be the same.

    Hmmmm, I thought I saw one once and didn't think anything of it and put it back in the box with thousands of other wheaties. :headbang:

    Those look very nice.

    Looks like a small die break to me. Interesting spot for the break though.

    Confession : I made a mistake, mine does not have a double eye lid and the extra copper in the B in Liberty. I confused my pictures in my documents for another one I have. Mea Culpa!

    To me it's a Keeper.

    That is a die chip in the B.

    Coin Hawk:
    I am not sure what * THE R PENNY* means, but most likely it is an unusual shaped die crack/chip.
