I rather like this one, though disappointed by the grade. GTG if you please or comment.

    It looks very gemmy.

The fields and luster are very even, causing me a little concern.
    I am going 63-64.

    65, a little ghosting

Well, 64 but in hand I really can not see less than 66 to be honest as there are virtually no marks with the fields and really vulnerable areas like QE II's cheek very, very clean. Still it is a very nice coin struck in copper nickel and although I did not record the weight was about 11.3 gms. by recall (florin weight, and probably a florin planchet).

Lots of people put these coins away as they were the last pre decimal to be released, an uncirculated roll can cost £1 they are that common. That said it’s a nice example

Umm, while that is true Offa, this is struck in copper nickel however and think it is rather scarce. This at larger auctions will cost a lot more than one pound.

    Is it an error?

The photos don’t show clearly that it is CN in that case what a tremendous error to have in your collection

Yes, although the photos are true to form as the coin actually has a beautiful rose toning with outstanding lustre.
I know I am biased but I would have this as a true gem and in "66" for sure.
I have collected these OMS for years and have a 1964, 1965, 1966 and 1967 years...

Sometimes rare or unique coins are graded very harshly and sometimes they are graded very leniently. This could just as easily be an MS-68 if it's as nice as it looks in the picture.
