Early Date Large Cent Corner

    I would say there is not many. While I like the coins I and trying to attribute them, I have no desire to get all the varieties. I think some are cool. As a matter of fact I am culling my herd right now and pulled a couple to keep.

    I think this coin needs some help. I'm generally opposed to cleaning, but this certainly could use some conservation. Thoughts?

    I love the Large Cents but had to let them take a long long rest because of financial concerns. I'd say that 1802 presents the classic dilema. Clean and reduce the value in some peoples' eyes or leave it alone and the verdigris will continue its path of destruction. Either way -- it's a terrific coin. Enjoy it.

    However, only by date, not Sheldon variety.

    I personally do not think you can hurt it anymore. Or use this thread on coinchat. I think there are a couple posts from toad on how to do this.
