Hi all, So today i was working at a coin show (work part time for a local dealer) we put out 30 double eagles (common date, lower grade some damaged) the libs were 1100 and the saints were 1170 we got rid of ll but one today! we also sold a bunch of bars and some foreign bullion. Gold is goin crazy right now everyone wants some..... Thoughts?
every saint ive seen (and that isnt many) up to 1300 hasnt lasted more then a few days at any shop i know. havent seen any double eagle libs yet.
I haven't seen a saint priced below 1300 for at least a year! I would have bought them and flipped them.
like i said some were damaged (IE. rim dings, gouges, cleaned) and some were just lower grades (xf-61) and real common dates. but still a great deal
Sounds like it may be time to sell mine...I have a 1911 Saint XF and a 1871S Lib XF. I haven't taken any pictures yet...still trying to figure out what camera to buy and how to set up a light box, to take pictures of my collection to start selling some of them. Any recommendations would be appreciated.
ill flip silver but with my budget flipping gold is too dangerous. when it gets that expensive ive got to want it myself.
