Hi guys, I have this Bicentennial Quarter and noticed on the Obverse what appears to be a die clash to the left of Washington's head. Can someone please confirm this? Also, the other indentation on the Obverse to the left of the rim, is this a strike through grease error? Lastly on the reverse, I noticed 2 areas along the rim where it appears it was struck through grease. Is this common on Bicentennial Quarters?
Doesn't appear to be a clash. Look at this . . . The area next to the rim on the right does appear to possibly be a strike through, but it's really hard to tell from the photo. The area on the rim is just damage, in my opinion. The drum was well struck, which is unusual for this year, but still NAV.
Hmm, agreed - not a clash. Even trying to rotate the reverse to match up the ghost hand by the nose doesn't match the OP's pic...
Looks like something slightly ate into the surface at various areas of the coin and then the coin was cleaned/shinned up a bit.
