Hi, I have posted this coin here a couple of weeks ago but pictures were really bad... I have now nicer pictures and any help identifying this coin would be appreciated... Size: 8mm Weight: 0.6g Thanks, PA
Well, Im not sure at all, and the fact this is the 2nd time around for you for identification purposes suggests that everyone is stumped. Let me give it a shot...i dunno, its got the Star of David. Perhaps it a prop used during a kids Christmas Nativity play? Sorry, I just dont know.
From the material, size, and the Seal of Solomon on the obverse, I'm going to guess it's an old 1/4 or 1/2 Falus from Morocco. It looks like it may even have an Islamic date, but it's hard to tell. I've never seen that reverse, though.
I suggest you look on ebay for a few weeks, maybe you'll see something like it and find out what it is. My guess is that it's something that someone made years ago but it's not a coin.
I suggest you seek out someone knowledgeable in such fields try this forum http://www.forumancientcoins.com/
