Do I have a few yes. I’m picky. But an early copper with a little crustiness I can handle maybe an ancient cleaning on a piece of early silver that has recovered. Some that are borderline that could straight grade on a retry. But most I tend to avoid just like I avoid straight graded coins with obvious bad surfaces
Don't regret your decision to return it. The dealer was an idiot to treat you that way. I don't care how big a dealer he is, no one should be yelled at. The heck with him
I have been off Coin Talk for quite a while. I was in the hospital with another case of Pneumonia. I'm 74 and am not in the best of health. Anyway, I really enjoyed this thread. I learned a lot. Thanks to all that contributed. I have a question. Before I got sick, I would get emails from Coin Talk on some threads. Anyway I could find out if I did something wrong? Now I have to go to the Coin Talk website to see what's going on.
Very glad you’re back. I still get email notifications on watched threads - check your alert notifications setting on your profile.
Glad that you are back! Multiple people have mentioned not getting emails (I haven't received any in a while either) and I don't think there has been any solution. It might just be a glitch in the system.
I have been thinking that if I don't post or "like" something in a thread for a while, I stop getting notified by email. But that's just me trying to guess what's going on and maybe it's a random glitch. Usually on other sites I don't log in unless I have something to say, but here I log in so I can see if something new came up on a previous thread where I participated.
I think there is button somewhere in you profile where you can turn the notifications on and off. I turned mine off because I get too many emails as it is and come here on a regular basis anyway.
On the top bar on any page here you will see your user name, Inbox and Alerts. Click on your user name. Next click on Contact details and be sure the boxes are checked that you want. There are also options under Alert preferences. I don't want the emails. The alert options work best for me.
I'm sorry, but in an industry that no longer has common registration criteria, any-ones' grading is believed legally acceptable in the market-place! Past precedental adjudication, has believed established same. I have re-submitted "detail" coins to receive a grade from the "Superior" touted TPG, to establish possible inaccuracy-in-for-profit-grading. JMHO
