1998p Die Crack

    It appears that I have found another die crack. Are these common in Jefferson Nickels?

    Well I think I have yet another, the third in two days. However it is very faint, can be seen with a magnifier but not scanning well like the previous two.

    Are die cracks in Jefferson Nickels common?

    yes, they are common, but fun to find.

    The metal, nickel composition, is very hard and tough on the dies.
