I am not sure, I did not see the VDB, but then again I do need new glasses, so...

Also the ad is trying to entice buyers to bid. I would pass on it personally.

    Regards,
    Stan

My guess would be No. There is something about the rim that bothers me. Just a guess, I am no expert. Clueless.

It just amazes me that some people will pay $800 or more for a coin they can only see in a small ebay picture. :headbang:

Going by those pics, not real.

There is nothing I see to tell me that it is a fake, but that is a far cry from saying that it is real. I would take some descent pictures to tell if a coin is real and, pretty much, eBay does not have them. That is why people buy slabbed coins.

    Looks like

    From the photos~
    Looks like a real 1909 S.

The VDB is up for grabs.

I think if I were selling a 1909-S VDB, I would take the best possible pictures to show and maximize the interest. Shady pictures aren't for me. Not saying he's up to anything, just that I would be proud to put it up for auction.

Yep it's to hard to say so it wouldn't matter to me as I would not buy it.

The VDB does not look right to me for a San Francisco strike.

The coin is real; however, the price is UNreal.

That coin is not much more than G, and it's barely touching G. Somone completely overpaid for that coin. $795 is outrageous.

My guess is that you are probably correct in that the coin is real, but the grade is likely VG. However, even if it were good, that is about the going price for a good 1909-S VDB - all-be-it the only prices I can trust are for certified coins. PCGS lists G6 as $825.

I don't know that much about fake coins but that mint looks fake to me, also I don't see the VDB, if it is where I think it is, it is in the wrong place.

I see no VDB... maybe real, but crap for that price.
