Conservation Results: 1959 1 Cent Struck on a Silver Dime

    Nice observation Cheech.

    Seems there are some variations to the rim thickness by the L in LIBERTY as well as by the second 9 in the date.

    Glad you like it, but It's not an "11-cent" piece. That would be a cent-on-dime double denomination

    Joe, if you look at the obv of the preserved coin in the first pic, you can see a smidge of the horizontal bar of the L. In the pre-preserved pic that piece of the L is totally missing.

    I see what Cheech is saying.

    Thoughts?

    Those grades are but a spit of wear away from one another. I think it's pretty clear from the photos--the jaw/cheek separation, shoulder and collar sharpness--there was no wear on this coin to begin with.
