Here’s an Army and Navy Civil War Token with a small clip at 10 o’clock. It has some west but not bad at all. The reverse has ARMY AND NAVY in the center surrounded by a laurel wreath. At the base of the wreath is an anchor and crossed swords. The obverse has THE FEDERAL UNION from 9 to 3 o’clock along the top with 13 stars representing the 13 original colonies along the rim from 9-3 o’clock and in the center is IT MUST AND SHALL BE PRESERVED. There is an arrow showing the clip.
Clips are quite common on CWTs, for some reason. Maybe quality control standards were not as tight as they were at the Mint.
If you took the coin out of the 2X2 before taking the picture, perhaps we could see something besides a dark blob
