Are there any German coin collectors here? I am in the process of assembling a collection of all the Third Reich coins and can use some help locating a few.
    Thanks,

Well, I do collect German coins, primarily those of my country (Federal Republic, founded in 1949), but I have a couple of older ones too. So if you have a question, just ask - actually there are various members who may be able to help. As for dealers, here in Germany there is www.franquinet.de for example, or www.honscha.de and many others, but I am not familiar with US sources. Some time ago somebody mentioned www.germancoins.com - maybe that one is interesting?

That 1 Reichspfennig coin? Not really. There are some year/mintmark combinations that are less common than others, of course. With German Reich coins (until 1948) "A" is the most common mark while your "D" is a little rarer. 14 million pieces were made; in unc it would be about €10. But I think your coin was cleaned or polished. Not worth a lot but still a bargain for you ... :)
