Low Serial Number - But Is It Worth Much?

I think I know the answer - but I'd like an expert opinion. I received this 2003 A Series $1 FRN (Bank of Richmond) in change today.

It's in worn, fair condition - not especially noteworthy - but it does have a low serial number.

Any guesstimates? Keeper or a spender?

Thanks - I appreciate the knowledge pool and everyone's helpfulness.:thumb:

well if you got it face why not keep it. the condition kills any kind of premium on the note. i work at a bank and come across notes like that every few months. i dont tend to get them because of the condition. i usuallly go for the higher quality notes. but once again thats just me. :thumb:

Its worth $1+whatever its worth to someone else... I came across a cool find myself about a month ago in my register at work a 2006 $1 with the serial F00000054J if you go to the strap stackers post page 15 or 16 is where u can find a photo. Cool find though id hang onto it if it were me

Due to the well circulated condition, it is worth face, but at only a buck those can be fun to keep and build a nice collection from circulation at face.

$4 to $7 or more depending on the buyer. I call this a fancy serial number, not really that low ~ just a fancy number.

If it were in my possession I would keep it just because it has a 4 digit serial number and it was had for face value. My lowest is a 5 digit star note $1 FRN so it would be an improvment to my collection despite its condition.

Here again it,s the type of note someone may pay more for, But with
    The condition more likely not.

I would keep it. You got it for face! Nice pick!

I would keep it for face but many would not.
