1940S Lincoln Cent Error

    The first one of these I saw I thought it was post mint damage then found another. Both nines have endentations in the same place and what looks like a die chip or ?? in the same place. Any Idea what this might be.

    It looks raised. If so, it's either a die chip, a die gouge, or a sharply defined die dent.
