    Hi Guys,
This morning I found in a change coins this beauty.
I think this is really a Doubled Die case. (IMHO)
What do you all think about it??
    Any comments are appreciated.

Nice coin but I can find no examples of a DDR. The 2001 is listed as strike doubled in the incuse date. Yours appears very flat and shelflike in appearance so I must go with machine doubling, no added value.
Keep looking, the fun is in the searching

    Hmm, interesting.

This seems a doubled die, to me. The indicators I use are the split serifs on the letters such as the point on the bottoms of the A and V:

and the corner on the bottom of the S:

Those close ups certainly support it. I know new varieties can be found, but with 9 years of circulation and over 600 million struck it would be a good find.

Yeah, I don't have my readers on so I had to switch to my cell phones zoom option on his photos. :watching: Just screen captured what I was looking at.

The weird part is that a lot of it does look shelf-like. I wonder if it's a mixed MD along with some die 'touch-ups'.

From those serfs, I'm leaning towards a doubled die.

    I'll go with doubled die.

Well, I'm posting photos of another coins I have purchased since 2018 and them could be a source for comparison, just for the case of any doubt.
