I find the coins of countries that no longer exist rather interesting. From the 1929 Puffin and Half-Puffin copper coins of the short lived "Kingdom of Lundy" in the English Channel to Rhodesia & Nysaland, to Katanga (Congo), Belgian Congo, the German states like Saxony, the independent City State of Besançon (also the historical seat of fine watch making in France), even the Confederate States of America, and on and on, I love to collect the coins of defunct nations. I bought a lot of 184 Rhodesian coins the other day (lots of antelope, bataleur eagles (the national icon of Zimbabwe), elephants and giraffes!) which reminded me of this. Here are some of mine, what do you like in this regard? Show us what you got!

Finding something like that Rhodesian lot would be a dream come true for me.

I have never been very interested in foreign coinage, but this idea is super. I can definitely see how someone would really enjoy this route.
