Here is the counterpart to the 1898 Morgan I posted in the other GTG thread. I just loved the look of it immediately. As always any feedback you would like to leave is greatly appreciated.

    I'll go MS 65 PL
....I think the mirrors are strong enough to get the PL (otherwise it's a very nice semi-pl)...fields and cheek are relatively clean too...I like this one!

Looks like it could be an MS-66 PL.

High contrast Morgan's are so hard to grade in photos. Every little mark shows up. I think this coin has enough contrast to be a PL. It also has very clean surfaces. I'm going to call it MS66 PL.

The 1904 O is a tricky date.... 65 PL but like the 80 S one of my favorite Morgans.

This is the first piece I have seen in a very long time on CT that speaks to me. Incredible personality with the cracks, wonderful hair and blossom definition, and the few very minor breast marks are not pmd, when a 5X is held up to the screen. The dentil definition is superb. Very nice photography. Impressive. I admire the eye definition.

MS 66 PL. it is a classic example of a gem PL coin. Marks on it are die polish artifacts. Totally beautiful, and decently struck for a date that is notorious for badly worn dies, as it was the end of the ballgame for Morgans at New Orleans.

This is one of my favorite Morgan Dollars I currently own. A lot of good guesses so far, but no one has gotten it exactly right yet. ;)

Wow what a stunner. I can see why it is one of your favorites.

I’m going 66+PL and I’ll throw a CAC on there too to make my guess a bit more specific since I have the benefit of knowing it’s none of the grades guessed already.

It's time for the reveal. Nobody guessed correctly because it's not a PL and it did get the ★ designation from NGC. It's in a NGC MS-66★ holder. Personally I could see it as a 67 PL/DMPL, but I think the reverse held back the PL/DMPL designation. The field between the eagle's neck and right wing is frosty as well as part of the field between the eagle's right wing and the wreath. It has a very similar look to some of the '83-CC PL/DMPL's out there.

Based on the photos I suspect it would be a PL if graded today. I guess NGC thought it just missed that level and gave it the star.
