I know this one is beat up, but the strike on this looked really off, so I set it aside and remembered to weigh it today. Rings up at 2.13g. The strike seems really odd to me, could it be on a foreign planchet? Just a thin planchet? Nearly a whole gram seems like way too much loss for damage, but I’m asking y’all because I’m not an expert.

    Thanks in advance!

Could very well be a thin planchet coin that no one ever noticed before you.
It is now just a worn cent. Like Ed said.

Just a worn wheat Cent now as it did its job for America. Nice older $20 note as well. That’s worked hard to as it’s 88 years old and should be retired.
