1943 D Mercury DDO? Overdate? Nothing?

    I was looking at some coins I bought for a little above silver price earlier today, and I initially saw the little bit on the top right of the 3, then I noticed to the northwest of the 4 it almost looks like a there's a light doubling of the left bar (of the 4). They're hard to photograph through a loupe, sorry for the poor quality.

    Just coincidence or does it have potential to be an actual error? Even if it isn't a DDO/OD I'd like to know what it is (if anything).

    Hi and welcome to CT. Your coin is showing signs of deteriorated die issues and some damage. Also, an overdate would not be an error but a variety.
