    This could be a key date 1916-S or 1921-S but the date is gone!!!

    The date isn't completely gone the spot in question appears to have the remainder of 7.The slant and position is right so that would make this a 1917 S reverse.It actually can't be a 1916 S because the mint marks were only on the obverse dies for that year.
