    that does look nice :p

I hate, and find it incocievable how people would like and seek coins that are toned, but are the type of toning that looks more like rust or corrosion.... and the coins still get graded high.... I dont get it...... whew, glad thats off my chest :D

That is a cool looking nickle!!!

Is that a proof??...in one way it looks like it and in another way it looks like a well struck coin!

I heard that David Hall admited that the 1936 proof buffalo nickel in the PCGS grading guide was artificially toned.

That doesn't shock me....I do wonder if he knew before the book was printed??

PCGS seem to not be on top of things as they were once thought of....

Not trying to rock the boat, but it looks too uniform for rainbow toning. I think a flame caused that toning. Certainly you didn't apply the heat/torch but sombody did. I, as a buyer would steer clear of this type of coin unless certified by a TGP company which doesn't have it's hand in the mix in ANYWAY what-so-ever.

    Nice Tone

Do you know where this coin has been? What were the storage conditions? Was this an end coin of a roll? Is the reverse toned has well?

I have no idea on this coin. I saw it on the web and thought it was pretty. I can tell you it is in a PCGS holder but the label was not showing in the pic.

    It's not mine.
