pretty cool nickel, Kanga, did you buy it for type, or are you working on shield nickel varieties now?
Shield Nickels are one of my "back burner" interest areas. Up to this point I had been working on a common die variety set. But this has led me to find out that there are a lot more than I originally thought.

From what I've seen published (somewhere) there are lots of repunched dates. Die breaks are common too. Nickel planchets were giving the Mint grief. The Mint was in the learning process with nickel. Harder metal than they were used to.
