    Dear colleagues,

I collect Indonesian banknotes and would be very grateful if you could shed light on the following issue. I have heard that some of the RIAU notes (especially the 5 rupee note from 1960 - purple with overprint RIAU) appearing on the market are fake. In the World Paper Money catalog it is mentioned that the genuine 5-rupee notes have serial number starting with X. However I have seen RIAU banknotes with serial number beginning with P. Are those banknotes fake? Or the catalog has missed somehow this P-series?

    Many thanks,
    Glavcho
