I'm seeing a coin that's been pounded on -- those gouges are damage, not something that happened at the mint. What are you seeing?

Hi and welcome to CT. Heavy circulation issues and damage.
My advice to you as a newcomer is to first study how dies are made and how coins are struck. Coins that look a bit different to normal are not automatically errors, far from it. There are untold ways to damage or alter a coin post mint compared to the actual errors that occur during the minting process. Then learn to identify the difference between errors and varieties. Read these at your leisure, there are great items and articles to further your knowledge in this hobby. When you have read and digested some of it, read it again. Also, most important, identify what you have before trying to put a value on it.

I see no signs of any errors. I do see signs of heavy circulation and damage caused by circulation. Welcome to CT.

In the curl on the last big curl. Its the same mark thats on the neck. The one on the neck looks like the edge of the quarter. The one in the curl at the bottom is the same but blends in.

@Jon jon, you have to study up on the minting process. That's the only way you'll know. Otherwise, just about everything is going to look like a mint error.
