Grabbed a coin I've wanted for years today...

    Ok it's not really a pricey coin unless you want it in ms69-70
    Not even a very old coin... 1972...
    Someone posted one on the PCGS forums today and reminded me of it so I took a quick look on e-bay and found one for a whopping $10... Yeah I pulled the trigger lol....
    PS the main reason I have wanted one is my woman finds it "offensive" lol...

    Mine was included in a large foreign coin collection with a bunch of silver coins...It may has well have been free lol.

    If you're an American, then yes. The Cook Islands are "foreign".

    That's Tangaroa on there. He's not only the fertility god (I knew that- it's obvious), but also the god of the sea (that I only just learned when I fetched the link).

    MadMarty on the CU forums used to be obsessed with these, and even had a bunch done up in his own custom slabs from NGC or ANACS, as I recall. I had one of those.

    yup yup got mine on Sat :D (the exact one at top) And yeah noticed right away when i picked up the package is was much weightier then I expected..
