Star notes - What are the odds?

I was in town yesterday and received three one dollar bills in change. Out of those three, two were star notes and both J (Kansas City) to boot. What are the odds of that happening? (strictly a rhetorical question for you number nuts). LOL

The odds would be against that especially if you look at the serial numbers.

 

The bottom one is pretty neat (1854) that would go nice with a coin.

Strap searcher. Search through a strap, pull all of the stars for further research. Research them, nothing valuable, put them back in the strap. I hate getting a strap of notes from the bank and can see a star on top, usually means it's already been searched. Notice that one is a 2013 series and the other a 2017 series.

You should have gone to the nearest lottery outlet for a purchase. Used a 5, not the star notes.
