Look @tibor! I finally did it! A pre-1500 dated goldgulden!

Take note of the date, everyone, particularly the curious medieval "4" in it which looks like a cancer awareness ribbon. Dates (actual numerical dates) on coins before 1500 are rather rare, generally speaking.

I'm looking forward to seeing this one in hand.

Now, who can tell me who the man with the lamb is? Is that the Lord and Savior Himself? Or just one of the saints?

Very nice piece! If I'm not mistaken this might be an auction win.

King of The Romans which is more or less Holy Roman Emperor at times and in this case.
A king of the Romans would often be elected during the life of his father to ensure the Imperial crown would pass down. He would not be entitled to be Emperor (Imperator Romanum) until his papal cor

Maximilian(the Roma Rex on the gold Gulden) was interesting the first to use "Holy Roman Emperor without a papal coronation but not until 1508.
