Received a shipping confirmation yet? Mine's been bloody processing for the last 2 1/2 weeks with no movement at all.
The US Mint works in strange ways. You can try giving them a call (not sure if it will help) or keep waiting. Hopefully someone else who ordered one (unlike me) will chime in with some info.
I swear I saw a notice from the mint recently that they had begun shipping but I could be mistaken. Did not order order one myself, although I think it a worthy commemorative.
They probably got hit with a ton of orders and didn't plan ahead for such an event, so are several backlogged with orders. They can't seem to learn, which is why I stopped buying anything from them a few years ago, that and the overprice.
I had my order in in the first 30 seconds and it still hasn't shipped. Still "processing". Many on the other boards have already received theirs. The mint uses random shipping order. This has been confirmed over many issues over many years. It's one of the more irritating things about the mint...
I ordered mine when I they were first listed. I did get a note a while back telling me they were still processing. For some reason, I think they have oversold and are able to make more. I think it will be a big money making coin set.
The mint appears to have adopted a just-in-time production style. A lot of small runs as needed instead of minting all 700,000 (or whatever) and then melting 500,000 of them. Probably a good move IMHO although delivery slows down.
Well, mine came today. Nice coin but still a bit pricey, but I'm happy with it. Hope all gets theirs soon. Regards.
