    Beautiful example. Is it truly that green? And is the black spot a repair? Regardless, it is very nice.

    Wow, love the green patina on it. Shame about that spot though. But if it was found from a dig by one of your friends, why complain.

    Hi Bing, the patina is really green..It looks even more beautiful in the hand.. Ok, my phone doesnt take best photos, but this photo is the closest to the real look..Where the black spot is, there was simply no patina..

    I thought it may have possibly been a hole that had been repaired since it is on both sides of the coin. Good to know it's just lack of patina. Congratulations!

    Nice coin!

    The dark green areas look like just thicker, dark patina that deposited on the coin. The beautiful green patina has a blend of different shades, so I think the dark spots are natural and part of the patina's formation.

    Here's another glossy green patina that might have been smoothed. I have difficulty determining these things.
