That was a nice looking coin - until I saw the wheats. I cannot tell for sure if it is RB or RD, but I suspect the latter. I will try 65RD.

I have to agree with RLM on the grade. MS65RD. Wheat ears are not struck real well but thats inherent to that year. Nice coin..

I suspect the wheat ears might be a little out of focus.....'64RD.

I gotta go 64 RB. But I gotta ask Thad a couple questions. Do you think the areas I have indicated in the pics below are due to strike-throughs or a combination of strike-thoughs and die gouges ? Or - maybe there were 2 strike-throughs, 1 old that damaged the die andleft the raised marks, and another later that left the depressions.

On the cheek - to the far left you first see a rectangular depression just right of the black spot. Then there are 4 raised lines parallel to that - 2 longer ones at the outside and 2 short ones in between.

On the reverse - just below and in between the N & T there is a raised rectangular mark that I can't see as having been caused by anything but a strike-through. And on the left wheat tip there is a raised squiggly Y shape that could be damage to the die caused by an old strike-through.

You have the coin in hand Thad - what do you think?

Worn dies, poor strike (20's branch mint) and a struck-thru.

    MS64RB.
I have been practicing grading on numerous sights before I look at the grade. I am constantly reading and practicing. After looking at the coin, I scrolled straight down so I did not get influenced by yalls comments so we will se how I did. I love these type of posts. It is very educational.

    Well, I guess I was wrong.:D
After I posted I went through and saw what it really was. To me, it looks like the coin has some brown in it. I guess it is just the shading on the pictures.
Thanks again for posting and lets have some more.
