I opened a box and because of what was there I closed it and said “later”. So I opened another box. Half full of cut and uncut gemstones and 95% of rolled coins. But there was one package that contained a few Franklin Half Dollars. Here’s one of them. A 1950 Franklin Half Dollar, graded by PCGS as a MS-64FBL. This was dated from early 2013. I have too much, way too much but I’ll not part with it so don’t even ask. Lol
Nice and shiny Franklins are underrated coins, in my opinion. That is a very nice one. I have one of the same year, but from Denver and graded NGC MS 63 FBL. It looks like no "S" Franklins exist for that year, so it seems we've conquered 1950.
I only need a few more of these to have a complete set. PCGS, MS-64FBL are only what’s in this set. Yours is a nice looking coin and is probably a 64 today but I’d leave as is with the FBL.
