1998 D Jefferson Nickel - DDR?

Hi everybody.
I found, while reclassifying my circulated Jeffersons's collection, some coins which I have questions about them and I will open a thread for each one.
All comments are appreciated.

About this first one I have the following question:

There are 1998 D 5C Varieties that have DDR??
These coin appears to be one of them (IMHO).
What do you experts think about that coin?

The striations alone tell me this is all worn die issues.

A worn die caused what you are seeing.

I thought was an error because none in all another coins i have show the letters like that coin. And in my Jeffersons collection a lot of coins are worn and have signs of worn die, but only this coin shows the letters as you can see in the photos.
