    The second 1 in the 1921-D has a distinctive shape, and I'm not seeing it here. I agree on the 5.

    To me, I believe the rim is too damaged to ever tell for sure. He could always try vinegar to bring out the last number.

    Yep, I can't see anything. Maybe there's a Greek letter like an omega or a sigma there, for all I know. ;)

    If the majority sees a 5, that's fine by me, but I think any answer is likely to be speculative rather than definitive.
