I know taking pictures of coins has been covered a million times, but I was wondering if anyone has purchased a camera for less than 100 dollars that takes nice closeups? Also I'm looking for a digital. Thanks.

I would say check on ebay or in your local camera shop - there are some nice used cameras. I haven't used one personally, but I have heard of a Cannon model for about $100 new that takes great pics. Sorry - can't recall the model number :(

I bought a Sony Cyber Shot 2.1 mega pixel digital camera on Ebay last year for like $60. Takes real nice close-ups. Just make sure whatever camera you buy it has a "macro lens."

I like my Kodak, most of the "last year's models" can be had new/factory refurbished for less tha $100.
