Snagged these off the bay yesterday, thought they were pretty cool

WOW congratz, that is amazing. I dont know how you found it but man would I try to perserve that as long as possible. That is definitely something that has a lot of history and a GREAT conservation piece.

I am pretty sure that this was signed by a Kennedy. Which Kennedy I am not sure but it might be worth a little research.
