ok guys i posted this coin before but got some better closer pics this time.looks like r.p.m. doubling also on the next pic look at the liberty it is filled in and the t and y show r.p.m also?i think lol
Also Jesse, it wouldnt Be an RPM..RPM is Repunched Mint Mark.. Meaning that the "D" or "S" (obviously whatever mint it came from) would have some type of variation to it. I cant tell you what is happening to the word Liberty..sorry
sorry its a small date the one in date is thehigher than the 9 a large date is lower than the 9.i own 5 of them.
View attachment untitled.bmp look at the o and 6 9 has small but hard to tell in pic also the liberty has doubling on the left side of all the letters also most of the letters are filled.
Nice Example Thank you ShoeWrecky, that link was very helpful . I just went through a few of mine and found one right-a-way. Here's some Pictures of it.. it also has the 6 Filled with Copper.
You guys ROCK, ever since I discovered this variety I have been searching my collection and I am up to about ten of these so far. On another subject. I recently found two wheats that are Black, one 1958 and one 1941 in AU condition too. Is this a variety or some fluke or just common toning for some copper coins? I googled it and can't find anything on it .
