That may be true, but it has gotten substantially worse since he came on board.

I had 15 years with no lost or damaged packages via USPS shipping - and then had 3 in a matter of 6 months after DeJoy started mucking with things. That’s far too many to be a coincidence.

 

I did do exactly both of those things.

Took the info (what I had) to my local postmaster, who promptly told me there was nothing they could do to help and no extra information they'd be able to offer. In fact, he told me it was probably my fault for not selecting the correct package type (envelope vs. package) - which is nonsense, because I've literally done this same type of label/package thousands of times. But it's always easier to blame the end user, right?

And I believe I already mentioned in my original post that I'd called them multiple times today without anyone being able to offer any competent assistance.

The best news of the day, though, is that I HAVE THE RECEIPT. I have the receipt from when I had the local PO scan the label in (it scanned at the correct weight and no extra postage was required at that time.) Why do I have the receipt? Because I don't trust them, and making them scan in the labels and keeping all the receipts has saved me in the past.

I'm thinking some other package got stuck to mine during the scan process (I don't know how it works, but without any reason why they think I should pay triple for my package who knows) or they're just trying to see if people will just pay bills if they send them. I wouldn't put it past them (city of Chicago used to do that to my dad all the time when I was a kid, sending him parking ticket after parking ticket. Thing is...he's never been to Chicago.)

 

I’m not a fan of his but the problems go much deeper than him and they started long before him. He’s made the mail slower but that’s a different issue.

 

He made necessary changes that should have happened many years ago and even more changes need to happen so congress doesn’t have to keep giving them billions and billions in bail outs every years. I don’t need to get junk mail 6 days a week. Everyone but the old higher ups at USPS knew packages were the future and negotiated horrendous contracts with UPS/Amazon/FedEx that they take a blood bath on with infrastructure that’s not not up to the take of handling all the packages.

There was no way he could fix decades of incompetence in a short time especially when politicians run around lying about changes that were happening for political gain because it’s not their tax dollars the next time the post office needs billions to stay solvent

 

Yes, you have reenforced my comments that this started long before he took over.

 

The postal system seems to be clogged with junk more than ever, no wonder they can't get the important mailings right. There are many days everything I get in the mail goes straight from the mail box to the trash.

 

I said that day one of his term in office.

Ok here's another USPS goodie.
I made a claim yesterday im walking the dogs...and get a call from DC phone number.
Its a lady asking me about my my case. Ok she sez...someone else will follow up.

Last night I saw the case opened...next case closed? Im like what...?
So im texting with John Call ...I get a survey from usps by text message to fill out on "how well they done to resolve my problem"
I'm like you got to be kidding me! Unbelievable as now its close to mid day...and on my daily ,mail summery by email. No open case ,no resolve , other than your pkg is still on its way! Well thats a crock of crap! As you don't know where my pkg. Is....at present.

 

An up date. Yesterday i contacted my congressman to investigate. His office emailed me back within 1 hour. I was impressed....this morning more lip service from the po. As again another case opened...just wondering how long they will wait until they close it again ...without any contact or resolve.The seller on ebay has been great! Fairview coins told me not to sweat it that he would refund me ....I appreciate that...but why should he be the looser on this sale? He done everything possible to assure me that Fairview would refund me the money spent.
Well I want those coins not the money...and I want the PO taking the heat.

I highly recommend Fairview coins on ebay...a pleasure to deal with no matter you spend $5 or $500.
I now afraid to make a purchase from any seller on ebay or elsewhere do to the total incompetence of the postal system. Which in the past years I defended ,as UPS was caught by me stealing coins from a pkg..due me. I won't accept any shipments by big brown....when I order anything if they wont ship another carrier othe than ups I cancel the order.
Looks like I have 1 carrier left... to deal with. Ugh.... unbelievable!

 

Have you looked into partnering with Greysheet/Cabrella? Might be the answer for you.

 

Ok you won't believe this...in fact my dear departed mum had a saying she say..." if you told that to a jack ass he kick your head in"
So this morning I recieved a call ,it went to voice mail...a postal service employee named Tracy call leaves a voice mail and a number to return the call. The number did get the post office...but then it states its a "non working number". At the Baltimore main post office.
Again I write my congressman, and they must of done something as "Tracy" calls back...oh and on the non working number of course!
So I give her everything she needs all tracking numbers as well read to her the entire tracking from Illinois to Maryland to DC and thats where it ends .this time peroid is from 6/30- to present day 7/ 13.
So then Tracy...begins to tell me that all those point that the pkg. Tracking went though aren't correct...and my Pkg. Never left Illinois! And that the tracking is just how the pkg. Would of traveled... to my reply [Edited] !
Your telling me that my daily postal review that I recieved every morning as to what is coming to my mail box isn't correct?
Then why and the hell do I want spam emails from the USPS thats their data isn't correct?
Now 1 coin stolen....2 coins in limbo....another coin sent by Lord M to compensate for the stolen acient....is now missing as it was mailed on 7/5 and today the is the 13 its not on my daily report...or according to the post office not in the system or arrived at my PO, and there's no mail for this address....at all . Not even junk....!

Stay tuned.... as I'm relatively sure that this circus has quite a few more clown act to come!

Both of you are correct... as I caught the person who is handling this case in two lies. I told her I was born at night..but not last night...in fact it was a night 68 years ago.... and I know a BS line or story when Im being told one!
Basically was being told that the pkg. Never left the po in Illinois. Yet I had tracking from the seller to Hyattsville Md then to Washington DC. And then nada! That was 2 weeks ago.. and the coin I won in Lord M's. Contest was stolen...and the replacement he graciously sent is also MIA!

I have mailed 2- 2x2 foot cube boxes from Maryland to Perth Australia in 10 days.
Ive made a diamond ring purchase in Israel Tel Aviv to Baltimore never had a issues...even with customs. Yet 30 cents in coins cannot go from Illinois to Maryland without an armed guard. Go figure right?

 

Have they really ever stopped ? a on going problem that is like the energizer bunny it keeps on going and going...LOL

 

Well I finally received my packages today .Lord M mailed me a replacement for one stolen on 7/5 it took what 2 weeks to go 700 miles. But it did arrive safe. The two coins mailed on June 29 also made it here after falling off the grid and being told that tracking isnt correct...but it took my congressman to investigate and have the PO to find and deliver. So sad it takes that to get your mail.
I do appreciate his efforts and help. And advise others to write or call if nessary and don't let some worker try and tell you that tracking numbers as well scans arent correct. As yes your mail is tracked on each movement from A to Z . Until in your box. So never take no as an answer...or allow someone to tell you that tracking isn't correct as it is...!
