Hey I'm looking into buying a few nice numismatically valued gold coins (not bullion) but still they're $2.50 pieces so have a melt value of roughly $133.95. I was just wondering your opinions on buying gold pieces now? thanks!

No, I don't think it's a bad time to buy gold, particularly if the "Numismatic Premium" portion of Fair Market Value is large compared to the bullion value. In those cases, the FMV is less affected by changes in spot.

Hm.. The pieces should trade for around $300 each so roughly 2/3 numismatic (a little less)

Even if I had the money to buy gold right now, I don't think I'd throw all my investment funds at it. Gold always has that nasty tendancy to drop a ton all at once.

It,s only my opinion, But if your thinking about buying Gold now, It could
Be a mistake, Iam not sure how much higher it can go, And most of the
People ive talked to say it will be lower by years end!

Hm..Maybe I'll wait then I just love the Quarter eagles, but don't want to buy and watch them crash in value

Exactly what I think. Gold, Silver, Platinum, etc all go up and down way to much.
